Basic Consecration Ritual

Basic Consecration Ritual
Difficulty: ModerateThis is a simple ritual that can be used to consecrate any magickal tools, ceremonial garb, jewelry, spell jars, your altar, etc.
By offering the tool to the powers of the four elements, it is consecrated and blessed from all directions. This ritual not only consecrates your tools, but it also sets your claim of ownership, so it is best that others do not use it. Keep in mind that just like with everything else in Pagan ritual, there is rarely a set-in-stone right or wrong way to do something. This ritual is simply, but effective. It is an example and a place for you to begin.
For best results, make sure to immediately put your newly consecrated item to use. This will bind the consecration and strengthen the energy.

Notes
- To avoid any accidental injuries while consecrating something sharp, such as an athame or sword, hold the pointed end away from you, aiming it up at an angle when presenting to the Quarters.
- When passing items over the flame, make sure they are high enough that they do not get scorched or catch on fire.
